Audiences are looking forward to Barbie, the upcoming live-action film inspired by the popular toy line. A large number of fans have already been excited to see the movie because of its two leads – Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken – and now a new reason has just been given: pink bellbottoms. Fans can see Margot Robbie sport quite the outfit, featuring a pair of pink bell-bottoms, as she walks on set.
The images are actually our first set photos from the production of Barbie. As such, it’s exciting to finally see what Margot Robbie looks like on set as the titular character. With her coffee in hand, she’s clearly ready to give the role her all. Of course, we still don’t know what kind of scene she’s preparing to film, either. But Margot Robbie certainly looks the part of the iconic Barbie toy.

Now that we’ve seen our first set photos in addition to some official images, one can hope more details about the film will be released soon. The plot details for the project are being kept under wraps – but given the costumes we’ve seen so far – it certainly looks like a lot of fun.
The film was directed by Greta Gerwig, who also co-wrote the film’s script with her partner Noah Baumbach.
Margot Robbie will also produce the film via LuckyChap along with Tom Ackerley. Mattel’s Robbie Brenner and David Heyman for Heyday Films will also produce. LuckyChap’s Josey McNamara and Mattel’s Ynon Kreiz are attached to the project as executive producers.
In addition to Margot Robbie as the titular Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken, the film also stars Kate McKinnon, Alexandra Shipp, America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Hari Nef, and Will Ferrell.
Fans will be able to see Margot Robbie in Barbie on the big screen next year on July 21, 2023.
