Fans have waited quite a few years to finally see Morbius on the big screen. And then there are other fans who’ve waited entire decades to see the character get the live-action treatment. Unfortunately, the film didn’t quite mesh with audiences as much as the studio hoped. The movie not only bombed on its initial release, but after becoming hyped on social media, the film bombed a second time during a theatrical re-release. But that hasn’t stopped Morbius just yet. In fact, Morbius is now the number one movie on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service.
This is certainly surprising, but considering how much the film has been hyped on social media, it does make sense. While fans might’ve not felt interested in spending the extra cash to see it in theaters, there’s probably enough of a reason to stream the film from home. And plenty of fans must be streaming Morbius in order for it to become the “#1” movie on the service.

Many comic book fans consider Morbius to be the worst Marvel film to date. At the very least, many fans agree it’s the weakest film to have been released during the ongoing comic book movie renaissance. With major properties like the Marvel Cinematic Universe throwing out blockbuster after blockbuster, it might be difficult to remember that a Marvel comic book movie can still flop. Morbius is proof of that. But then again, considering its newfound popularity online, perhaps it can still be considered a success in other ways. In any case, fans are now able to continue watching Morbius in any number of ways they find most convenient.
Morbius is currently available for streaming, digital rental or purchase, and to view or own on the physical media formats DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD.
