‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Begins Filming Next Year

Many fans are looking forward to the Disney Plus series Daredevil: Born Again. The original Daredevil series was cancelled after three seasons premiered on Netflix, leaving fans wondering whether or not they’d see Charlie Cox’s take on the character ever again. Luckily, in recent years, Charlie Cox has become increasingly involved with the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe. He not only received a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but he’ll be appearing soon on She-Hulk as well. Furthermore, he’ll soon be appearing in his second solo series which is appropriately titled Daredevil: Born Again.

Now we know when Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to start filming.

As revealed during Disney’s D23 Expo, it was announced that Daredevil: Born Again will begin filming in 2023. This is exciting news for fans that are eager to see the 18-episode first season get underway. Furthermore, Charlie Cox will be joined in the show by Wilson Fisk/Kingpin actor Vincent D’Onofrio. He’s similarly been reappearing throughout the MCU, with appearances ranging from Hawkeye to the upcoming series Echo.

Here’s the stage where the announcement took place during the D23 Expo:

While it’ll take some time before we see any footage from Daredevil: Born Again, fans can at least be glad that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil will still be appearing in other projects. We’ve yet to see his appearances in the Disney Plus series She-Hulk, but it’s expected that they’ll be a highlight of the show. In fact, a recent mid-season trailer for the remaining episodes have already teased the importance of Daredevil’s role. After the unfortunate cancellation of the Netflix series, it’s great to see Marvel Studios taking the Daredevil brand so seriously.
