Netflix Launches “Streams & Screams” Horror Portal For Halloween

With October fast-approaching, it’s time to begin celebrating the Halloween season. Netflix is already preparing to unveil its latest Halloween portal – titled “Streams & Screams.” The new portal includes a wide number of horror-themed Netflix exclusives in addition to classic films and shows. This also includes Netflix’s other horror projects coming this season such as the Stephen King adaptation Mr. Harrigan’s Phone, Mike Flanagan’s The Midnight Club, Jeff Wadlow’s The Curse of Bridge Hollow, and Guillermo del Toro’s The Cabinet of Curiosities.

With the Streams & Screams portal, however, fans will notice an entire tab dedicated to horror content. And, better yet, the tab includes a number of categories to organize its featured content. This means that subscribers can navigate through such categories as “Teen Screams,” “Zombies, Vampires and Ghouls,” “Horror Hidden Gems,” “Family Halloween Treats,” “Slashers and Serial Killers,” “This Place Is Evil,” “Modern Horror Classics,” “Horror Reimagined,” and “Witchcraft & the Dark Arts.” Each category includes both Netflix exclusives as well as licensed fare.

As those who already subscribe to Netflix know, the streaming platform has plenty of exciting exclusives to choose from when it comes to horror. This includes such titles as Gerald’s Game, The Babysitter, Day Shift, Bird Box, and the Fear Street trilogy. When it comes to licensed titles, however, you can expect to see some of the following: Escape Room: Tournament of Champions, Creep, The Grudge, It, Evil Dead, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and even the television series The Mist.

So, as mentioned, Netflix should be a great place for easy horror viewing come October. With both exclusives and licensed titles, movies and shows, there should certainly be something for everyone. And, with the brand-new “Streams & Screams” Netflix portal, it’ll be perfectly-themed for Halloween.

Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding October and Halloween-themed content this year. It’s going to be a great time for horror fans.
