‘The Little Mermaid’ First Look Teaser Revealed At D23

Fans have finally received their first look at the live-action adaptation of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Many fans have been eager to see how the film would adapt the iconic story for both a live-action and modern interpretation. Now, as you can see below, we have a glimpse into what the new film will be like. At this year’s D23 event, Disney unveiled a teaser trailer which reveals Halle Bailey as Ariel.

Furthermore, fans in attendance got to experience Halle Bailey’s rendition of “Part of Your World.” It was considered a highlight of the panel as it was an exclusive musical number just for the audience. In any case, everyone can now see the teaser trailer for the film, which is certainly a great example for what’s to come.

While we wait to see additional footage in the next trailer for the film, this is a great way to excite fans with the D23 expo. After so much time in production – it’s great to see how the effort of the film’s cast and crew has paid off.

The upcoming film was directed by Rob Marshall with a screenplay written by David Magee with a story penned by Magee alongside Rob Marshall and John DeLuca.

The film’s cast, in addition to Halle Bailey as Ariel, also includes Daveed Diggs as the voice of Sebastian, Jacob Tremblay as the voice of Flounder, Awkwafina as the voice of Scuttle, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Art Malik as Sir Grimsby, Noma Dumezweni as Queen Selina, with Javier Bardem as King Triton, and Melissa McCarthy as Ursula.

Fans will be able to see Disney’s new live-action adaptation of the iconic story The Little Mermaid when it hits theaters on May 26, 2023.
