After this year’s trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, it’s been interesting to see how the two celebrities have been trying to move on with their lives. Johnny Depp has clearly been making a return to the spotlight, with new business opportunities at hand and even a new appearance. Amber Heard, on the other hand, has been facing plenty of backlash following the events of the trial. Now it’s being reported that Amber Heard has been living in Spain in an effort to maintain her privacy.
As noted via CinemaBlend, “reports have started emerging that she’s been renting a house in a small town in Mallorca.” They noted that the town has less than 2,000 residents, and furthermore, that Heard is “reportedly renting a mansion that was recently listed for 2.8 million Euros but was taken off the market when she moved in.” In addition, it’s been suggested by El Mundo that the house is listed under “Martha Jane Cannary.”
This appears to be the pseudonym that Amber Heard has been using in Spain. And, fittingly enough, it’s actually the real name of Calamity Jane. This Wild West figure was known for having operated with Wild Bill Hickok, and furthermore, she continued to have plenty of stories told about her life. Of course, it’s been unclear because of these stories what about her is true and what might be false. This has led to many arguments about whether she was a good or bad person, and at this point, it’s easy to see why Amber Heard might relate to her.
Interestingly, it’s been alleged so far that the Aquaman star has been getting along with the locals quite well. The ones who’ve talked about her are said to “have all shared positive stories of her interacting with the other parents, being friendly while shopping at the markets and taking her daughter to play in a nearby park.” So, with that in mind, it’s unknown how long she plans to stay in the area. It could be a long-term stay or she could be changing locations now that her residency has become publicized.
