It’s the perfect time for Netflix subscribers to search the popular streaming platform for horror movies to watch. After all, with October on the way, everyone should be celebrating with some spooky movies or shows. Well, as it just so happens, there’s one horror movie available to watch on Netflix that viewers have struggled to finish for years now. This film is none other than Raw – a 2016 coming of age horror film that’s been upsetting viewers since its initial release.
For example, when the film first screened at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival, multiple cinemagoers actually fainted. As a result, an ambulance had to be sent to help with those who swooned during some of the film’s more extreme scenes. While there have been other films to have caused such reactions in the past, Raw is one that’s easily available to stream on Netflix – but not easy to watch. The streaming giant actually included it in a list of horror films in 2018 that viewers were having trouble finishing.
So if you’re in the mood for something a little edgier than the average flick available on the service – it’s a great choice.

While Raw has been available to stream for awhile now, there’s no better time than now to check out the movie if you haven’t seen it. And, if you’re due for another watch, than the Halloween season is still the perfect time. After all, who doesn’t love a great body horror movie? But, as we’ve pointed out, be warned – it can be a difficult film to stomach for some viewers. Pun intended.
Raw was written and directed by Julia Ducournau. It was produced by Jean de Forêts.
The cast for the film, which is led by Garance Marillier as Justine, also includes Ella Rumpf, Rabah Naït Oufella, Laurent Lucas, Joana Preiss, Bouli Lanners, Marion Vernoux, and Jean-Louis Sbille.
