Oscar Isaac Confirms Moon Knight’s MCU Future

The Marvel Cinematic Universe first began its descent into some of its darker characters with their adaptation of Moon Knight. The Disney Plus series quickly became a hit with fans, and many were eager to see where the supernatural vigilante would be headed next. While it remains unclear what exactly Marvel Studios has planned for the character – there are indeed plans. Actor Oscar Isaac, who portrays Moon Knight, has specifically teased as much about the future of the character.

As revealed via ComicBook, he explained at New York Comic-Con that the character is bound to make a return. Of course, he left the response ambiguous as to whether or not this return would be a second season of the Disney Plus series or something else entirely.

Here’s what Oscar Isaac specifically had to say about the future of Moon Knight:

“Are you looking at a Season 2? All I can say is it is not the last we’ve heard of the system that is Moon Knight.”

Hopefully this means we’ll have more information soon. It’s clear that Oscar Isaac is being intentionally vague with his answer – so there’s bound to be some kind of surprises in store for fans. Nevertheless, it’s great to know that this “is not the last we’ve heard of the system that is Moon Knight.” So one can only hope that Marvel Studios makes a more formal announcement in the near future. There are plenty of projects both in the form of films and television shows that the character could make an appearance in as well. Now that such characters as Werewolf by Night are being adapted, just about anything is possible.

Fans can currently stream the complete first season of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series Moon Knight on Disney Plus. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates regarding the fan-favorite titular character as we have them. It’s definitely going to be a great time to be a fan of the character moving forward.
