Jay Leno Hospitalized After Suffering Severe Burns From Accident

It’s been revealed that former The Tonight Show host Jay Leno has been hospitalized after receiving gasoline burns. The burns, which resulted due to a gasoline fire in his garage, occurred on both his face and hands. With that in mind, he is currently recovering and seems to “need a week or two to get back on my feet.”

In fact, Aimee Bennett, a spokesperson at the Grossman Burn Center in Los Angeles, stated that Jay Leno was “stable condition” as revealed via CNN. He was specifically said to be in the process of treatment for “burns that he received to his face and hands from a gasoline accident in his garage over the weekend.”

Furthermore, they noted that Leno “is in good humor and is touched by all the inquiries into his condition and well wishes.” The statement continued to say that Leno “wants to let everyone know he is doing well and is in ‘the best burn center in the United States.’” This is certainly good news for those eager to learn more about Leno’s condition.

As noted in a statement he delivered to Variety, he “got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. I am ok. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet,” he explained. The incident occurred as the avid car collector was working on a vehicle in his garage. As it turns out, the vehicle reportedly burst into flames which gave him the aforementioned injuries.

So, while Jay Leno had to cancel several appearances due to his burns, it seems as though he’ll be making a fine recovery.
