HBO Edits ‘The Last Of Us’ After Complaints By Fans

The HBO series The Last of Us has been a major hit for both streaming and television. Of course, despite the blockbuster status of the series, there’s still room for human error. As a result, HBO had to make a few edits to The Last of Us following demands by fans.

The sixth episode of the series, titled “Kin,” actually features two errors spotted by fans. Though given the digital era we’re now living in – HBO managed to sneakily make changes to these moments. As such, it’s now impossible to see the errors that were initially visible.

As you can see below:

As explained by @NaughtyNDC on Twitter, a social media profile dedicated to the Naughty Dog series of games, they were able to point out the edits made to The Last of Us. One such edit occurs early on during one of the winter scenes in the series. Fans were initially able to see both crew members and equipment visible to the left of the frame. Now it’s appropriately been left empty. Likewise, a hand was seen holding the head of a foal at a later point in the episode. The hand has now been removed.

It’s a lot of work to make a television series. And, as a result, there are occasional errors that come with the short time frames and busy work schedules. Luckily HBO has been able to fix these errors.

The Last of Us was developed by Craig Mazin who worked alongside Neil Druckmann to write and executive produce. Kantemir Balagov directed the pilot episode with Jasmila Žbanić and Ali Abbasi having directed additional episodes.

The cast of The Last of Us includes Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Troy Baker, and Ashley Johnson, as well as Gabriel Luna, Merle Dandridge, Nico Parker, Murray Bartlett, Nick Offerman, Jeffrey Pierce and Anna Torv.

Fans can currently stream The Last of Us via HBO Max. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates regarding the fan-favorite series as we have them.
