It was recently announced that Kim Kardashian and Emma Roberts would be joining the cast of American Horror Story Season 12. Naturally, many fans were excited to see Roberts return to the show. Others, however, were outraged to see Kim Kardashian mentioned in the American Horror Story announcement.
This is to be expected. After all, Kardashian is a major figure in the entertainment industry. And, furthermore, American Horror Story is a completely different brand than what she’s acted in in the past. And while some fans are eager to see what she could offer the horror anthology – others ended up much less enthused. In fact, some outright claim that her involvement has ruined the show altogether.

Of course, this type of hyperbole isn’t exactly unexpected on the internet. In fact, it’s far from the first time that fans have complained about American Horror Story. But having Kim Kardashian join the cast of the series is certainly a different approach. And, just in the way that the new season will be the first to adapt an existing work, it could go either way. Perhaps these new developments will help rejuvenate the brand as it prepares for its latest seasons in over a decade. Or it could be a sign that the property has overstayed its welcome.
Either way, we’ll have to see what’s in store. Hopefully we’ll have more details soon now that the announcements for the season are being made. It’s definitely going to be an interesting time for fans of the show.
