Another Netflix series is going viral. This time, however, it’s because Netflix subscribers weren’t ready for one particularly gross scene.
It isn’t surprising that the streaming service had to issue a warning for the show. Nevertheless, some viewers took the time to watch the complete series, and many were shocked by a very specific moment. William, a character played by Richard Armitage, decides to have sex with a pillow.
Unfortunately, the context behind the scene in Obsession makes it all that much more gross. The character has an affair with his son’s lover, played by Charlie Murphy. William goes into her hotel room after she leaves and looks for any of her belongings. He settles for a pillow from the bed she slept in and, well, you can imagine what happens next.
It’s a scene that, for most, isn’t sexy in the slightest. And, as you can see from viewers’ expressions of disgust down below, some even decided to quit watching the show. Here are some of the comments left on social media by viewers who decided the Netflix series was just too gross to handle:

Interestingly, some viewers did enjoy the scene. It goes to show how some viewers may like different things than others. With that said, considering the series is about a sex fiend, perhaps it isn’t all that out of place.
Obsession, based on Damage by Josephine Hart, stars Richard Armitage, Charlie Murphy, Indira Varma, and Sonera Angel. The series currently consists of four episodes all based on the 1991 novel. It was previously adapted as a film titled Damage in 1992. That particular iteration of the story starred Juliette Binoche, Miranda Richardson, and Jeremy Irons.
