Netflix is once again sending viewers over the edge with a newly-trending horror film. The streaming service often has viewers discovering titles that quickly go viral for being shocking or too scary to finish. Now Netflix users are a discussing a new horror film that has them “disturbed.”
As you can see in the below Twitter posts, users are claiming that this particular film is “horrifying, sadistic, and just messed up.” It’s quite the response for a newer film on the platform. Of course, not everyone may agree, but these tweets are often a great way to discover new content when nothing else seems appealing on Netflix.
The film itself, titled “Old People,” was directed by Andy Fetscher. It revolves around a woman who travels home for her sister’s wedding. She brings her two children along and ultimately must defend herself family against villains that, in the official synopsis, can only be described as “blood-seeking pensioners.”

Of course, there are some viewers who were rather unimpressed by the movie. So, with that said, it’s always best to make your own opinions about these types of movies. But seeing how many viewers are absolutely shocked by Old People is certainly a great sight. Especially for those horror fans who love to see the genre impact an audience. Although it isn’t quite the same as seeing a theater full of screaming attendees, social media can often give a similar effect seeing the word-of-mouth spread.
