Viewers Refuse To Watch Netflix Horror Movie At Night

Netflix has once again allowed an underseen horror movie to find new life on its streaming service. This particular film has viewers so frightened that many are refusing to watch the movie until daylight.

It’s a movie that was actually first released in 2020. Of course, it’s no surprise that many projects flew under the radar during that year. As such, the horror film is only now receiving attention on Netflix and social media platforms like Twitter. And, as indicated by word-of-mouth, it looks like viewers are outright terrified by it.

The film is titled His House. And, as you can see from some of the tweets shared below, viewers are having some strong reactions. Some have claimed that the “terrifying” film has them “screaming out loud,” and otherwise unable to view the movie until daylight. It’s certainly a fascinating sight for a horror film that’s taken years to reach an audience like this.

Additionally, here are some older reactions from users who’ve previously watched His House – as this isn’t the first time it’s been a trending topic:

For those unfamiliar with the basic synopsis of the film:

“A refugee couple makes a harrowing escape from war-torn South Sudan, but then they struggle to adjust to their new life in an English town that has an evil lurking beneath the surface.”

It’s certainly an eerie horror film and one that shows Netflix does offer some genre works that are worth seeking out. Of course, not everyone will have such a strong reaction to the movie. But it’s definitely worth a shot. And, if nothing else, it’s great to see a film that went quietly upon release get some new attention.

Remi Weekes both wrote and directed His House from a story by Felicity Evans and Toby Venables.

The cast for the horror film includes Wunmi Mosaku, Sope Dirisu and Matt Smith.

Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional Netflix updates or horror news as we have it. For now, fans can check out His House via the Netflix streaming service.
