‘Insidious: The Red Door’ Final Trailer Released

The Insidious movie franchise is finally set to return – and conclude – with the upcoming film Insidious: The Red Door. The highly-anticipated Insidious sequel features several returning characters, as seen in the trailer below, as the film returns to tell the story of the Lambert family.

Excitingly enough, this includes the return of Patrick Wilson as Josh Lambert and Ty Simpkins as his son, Dalton. The first Insidious film has remained something of a modern classic and so it’ll be exciting to see where this film takes its memorable and beloved characters. Especially if this is set to conclude their story.

Here’s the official final trailer for Insidious: The Red Door:

Of course, it’s worth noting that this is far from the end of the franchise. There are already plans announced to continue the Insidious brand with the upcoming spin-off, Thread: An Insidious Tale. It’ll certainly be exciting to see where the franchise could go from there. For now, however, we’ll get to return to the series’ roots and see an older Dalton.

The events of this sequel take place after Josh (Patrick Wilson) takes his college-aged son, Dalton (Ty Simpkins), to college. Of course, Dalton’s demons seem to follow him to his new school.

Insidious: The Red Door was directed by star Patrick Wilson, who also returned to act in the film. The screenplay was written by Scott Teems based on an original story by Leigh Whannell.

Original Insidious stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne and Ty Simpkins all return alongside newcomers Sinclair Daniel, Peter Dager, and Hiam Abbass.

Insidious: The Red Door is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on July 7, 2023. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional horror updates as we have them. For now, fans can look forward to seeing Insidious: The Red Door when it hits theaters next month.
