‘Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey 2’ First Look Reveals Bigger Sequel

The horror film Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey made $5.2 million at the box office on a $100,000 budget. This not only meant that a sequel was inevitable – but that it would have a higher budget. Now the first look at Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 has been shared down below.

As noted by THR, where the images were shared, the new film is “currently in production” and “comes with a bigger budget, more kills, and even an Olivier Award-winning, BAFTA-nominated star in the form of Simon Callow (Four Weddings and a Funeral), who has joined the cast.”

Rhys Frake-Waterfield, writer and director of the sequel and its predecessor, shared the following statement:

“Bigger and Badder. The sequel will feature new creature designs, a new cast, and a high death count,” he begins. “However, this time Pooh and friends will be leaving the 100 Acre Wood to take their fight to the quiet community of Ashdown!”

In addition to Simon Callow who will play a character named Cavendish, the cast of the film also includes Scott Chambers as Christopher Robin, Ryan Olivia as Winnie-the-Poof, and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney as Young Winnie-the-Pooh.

Rhys Frake-Waterfield is directing the film from a screenplay penned by Matt Leslie from a story he co-wrote with Frake-Waterfield. Here’s what Leslie shared about his part in making the film:

“After speaking with Rhys and hearing his vision — his desire to push boundaries in terms of production scope, and to craft a really unique, twisty plot that also gave significant depth to the characters — I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of,” said Leslie. “They’re making something special. Something that will absolutely blow people away.”
