‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Post-Credits Scene Has Leaked Online

The newest Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, goes to great lengths to pay tribute to late Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman. As such, the post-credits scene for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever equally brings things full-circle with a fitting reference to the beloved actor. As fans know, Chadwick Boseman’s character T’Challa was the initial Black Panther in the MCU. In the opening of Wakanda Forever, however, his character is killed off due to the real-life death of Boseman. Now his character’s sister, Shuri, tackles the path which will lead her to become the next Black Panther. And while she comes to terms with this by the film’s end – the post-credits scene goes a step further.

There are obvious spoilers for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever that follow.

The post-credits scene for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever takes the opportunity to celebrate Chadwick Boseman’s character rather than tease any new film or series. Instead, fans promptly watch Shuri visit the character Nakia as she burns her funeral ceremonial robe just as her mother wanted. This act allows her to fully grieve T’Challa’s death. Furthermore, she learns that Nakia and T’Challa actually had a son together named Toussaint. This character was being raised in secret by Nakia. And, finally, he reveals that his Wakandan name is T’Challa.

It’s certainly a fitting post-credits scene which pays tribute to Boseman just like the rest of the film. It goes to show just how much of an impact he made on the MCU with his role as Black Panther. And, of course, many fans will miss him as a result. But it’s nice to see that his role as T’Challa will forever be remembered and in such a heartfelt way.

Ryan Coogler directed Black Panther: Wakanda Forever from a screenplay he co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole.

The cast for the new MCU film includes Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba, Lupita Nyong’o, Martin Freeman, Tenoch Huerta, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena, and Alex Livanalli.
