Many Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are looking forward to the upcoming Disney Plus series Echo. The new series is expected to follow the events of Hawkeye, dabbling further into the life of its titular character, and even setting up certain events for Daredevil: Born Again to happen. As such, it’s safe to say that Echo will be a big deal for the upcoming slate of Disney Plus shows. However, a new report suggests that Echo could be facing trouble at Marvel Studios.
The report comes via Lizzie Hill from Cosmic Circus. According to Hill, they’ve been hearing “from previously reliable sources” that there are troubling issues with the production of Echo. Of course, there have been similar reports in the past with such MCU projects. But there seems to be serious enough trouble with Echo that it simply has insiders worried.
Here’s what they had to say:
I’ve been hearing things lately, from previously reliable sources, that make me very very concerned about #Echo. Previous Marvel prods have been reported to have problems but have come out ok, so I generally don’t get that concerned, but… I am concerned. Hoping I’m wrong to be.

It’s worth noting that the Disney Plus series wrapped shooting in August after filming started in April of this year. The series has been in post-production the last few months since then. As such, the trouble with Echo appears to be something behind-the-scenes in the post-production process rather than any of the cast members such as lead star Alaqua Cox.
Though, as mentioned above, this is far from the first issue with a Disney Plus series to be reported from behind-the-scenes. For example, there were similar reports surrounding the series She-Hulk, and that project ended up becoming quite a hit for Disney Plus. It’s possible that Echo will work out the same way. Then again, we’ll just have to wait until the series is released to know for sure. Hopefully these issues won’t derail anything further. Especially since the first glimpse at the series was already shown to fans.
