New Season Of Popular Marvel Disney Plus Show Reportedly Faces Delay

Disney Plus has offered numerous different Marvel projects for fans of the cinematic universe to enjoy. In fact, one fan-favorite show was announced to have a second season on the way. Unfortunately, it’s being reported that this Marvel show could now be facing a delay.

In fact, the report suggests that this highly-anticipated second season might not drop until 2024. This means that the third season of the show is expected to be released at some point in 2025. The first season of the show – titled Marvel’s What If…? – premiered as far back as 2021. So this will be quite the gap between seasons.

Of course, this information should be taken with a grain of salt until Marvel Studios makes an official announcement. As shared via KC Walsh, however, they claim that the second season of this popular Marvel show won’t be released until the first quarter of next year. As stated below:

As mentioned, however, the delay has yet to be confirmed by Marvel Studios. The company currently has the second season of What If…? scheduled for sometime later this year. So we’ll have to wait and see what happens. Of course, it looks like Marvel has quite a few of their live-action shows being delayed – so it does seem like a real possibility.

The first season of What If…? introduced plenty of interesting scenarios with some major fan-favorite characters. By using the Multiverse, fans were treated to many exciting sequences that have otherwise been impossible to view in the MCU. Now it’s expected that the second season of the show will push these aspects even further with a large addition of new characters.

Fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates regarding upcoming Marvel projects and Marvel’s What If…? as we have them. For now, fans can stream What If…? and most other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects on the Disney Plus streaming platform.
