The storylines between Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel are about to clash in the upcoming film The Marvels. According to a new rumor, however, The Marvels is said to be in “chaos” at the studio.
This rumor comes not long after the film was just delayed to be released later this year. As such, this rumor should still be taken with a grain of salt. But it would certainly explain the decision to delay the film. Jeff Sneider shared the news while speaking on The Hot Mic Podcast.
Specifically, he discussed the overall status of the production as “just a shitshow,” according to his sources, and that The Marvels is “kind of chaos.” Sneider insists that these are the reasons for why the MCU film was delayed from its original July release date. In fact, even that was its second delay, with the film having originally been intended to hit theaters in February of this year.
He continued to discuss some of the issues that the film is facing. One issue, he alleges, is that star Brie Larson is “upset that this movie is called The Marvels.” Apparently she would have preferred the film simply being titled Captain Marvel 2. Other alleged issues include his claim that Brie Larson clashed with co-star Teyonah Parris on the film’s set.

These rumors about the “tumultuous” backstage of The Marvels is clearly an anticipated hate campaign for the film, and clearly meant to go viral among people who are already expecting bad news about this film.

It’s unclear how true these reports are and whether or not they’re the actual reasons for the film’s two delays. But it will certainly give Marvel Studios plenty of time to work on the film during post-production and try to rectify as many potential issues as possible.
The Marvels was helmed by Candyman director Nia DaCosta from a screenplay written by Megan McDonnell.
The cast includes familiar Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. Samuel L. Jackson will also reprise his role as Nick Fury for the film.
