Netflix viewers are currently sharing their thoughts regarding an all-new series on the streaming platform. According to some of these terrified users, they feel as though they “need therapy” after watching the show.
The new series, titled Muted, currently consists of six episodes which were released via Netflix on May 19, 2023. Since then viewers have been freaking out about the psychological thriller show. A brief synopsis of the show reveals the following about the series:
“Sergio hasn’t spoken since he murdered his parents six years ago. Now, a psychiatrist aims to uncover what happened through a twisted investigation.”
It’s a simple enough premise that clearly has plenty of users hooked. As such, it does make sense that so many viewers are being shocked by the suspenseful and intense nature of the show. Hopefully the popularity of the series on social media is a good sign for the people at Netflix. After all, many newer shows have been cancelled by the streaming platform for underperforming. But for fans of Muted – let’s hope that the show can be picked up for another season. And, if nothing else, at least it goes to show that there are still some solid attempts being made by Netflix to introduce some new and original exclusives.
Aitor Gabilondo created Muted while the episodes were directed by Gabe Ibáñez. The cast of the series includes Arón Piper, Almudena Amor, Cristina Kovani, Manu Ríos, Aitor Luna, Ramiro Blas, Aria Bedmar, and Mikel Losada.
