‘Terrifier 3’ Is Officially On The Way With A Bigger Budget

The Terrifier film franchise saw plenty of success with its first installment. This success continued to an even greater extent with Terrifier 2. Now fans will be delighted to know that Terrifier 3 is moving towards production – and with an even bigger budget.

It’s been shared by Deadline that the “France-based distribution outfit The Coven is launching world sales on threequel Terrifier 3,” given the box office success of its predecessor. Furthermore, they confirm that “writer-director Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone will return to oversee the continuation of the franchise.”

At this point, the plot details for the film are unknown. But David Howard Thornton and Lauren LaVera are expected to return as Art the Clown and Sienna, respectively. It’s been further shared that The Coven is set to serve as an exec producer on the film with the outfit acquiring interest from buyers.

Fortunately, the film is said “to be getting a budget in the low-mid seven figure range, a significant increase on that of the sequel.” This should definitely excite fans as Terrifier 2 was already a monumental improvement regarding the original film’s budget.

Production on Terrifier 3 is expected to begin as soon as November or December of this year. It’ll then be released at some point in late 2024. As such, we should have more details on the highly-anticipated sequel as we have them. Ultimately, it’s great seeing that the Terrifier brand is set to continue. Art the Clown has been extremely well-received by horror fans ever since his first appearances in shorts and the anthology film All Hallows’ Eve. This reception led to the creation of the first Terrifier film and the rest, as they say, is history.

Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional Terrifier news and other horror film updates as we have them. It looks like we should be looking towards the end of this year to see how production on the sequel goes.
