Fans have been eagerly waiting to see Legendary‘s Godzilla take the leap to the small screen. Now, as shared below, the first look at the all-new live-action Godzilla series has been released.
Additionally, as shared via Collider, the series is no longer titled Godzilla and the Titans as previously reported. It’s been officially confirmed that the series will be titled Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. Of course, most excitingly is our first look at the series, which includes a glimpse at Godzilla and cast members Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell.

Fans were also given a more detailed plot synopsis of the series:
“Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga – spanning three generations – reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.”
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the only project set in the “MonsterVerse” that’s on the way. Fans can also expect to see the iconic King of the Monsters in the upcoming movie Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
In addition to Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell, the cast of the series includes Anna Sawai, Ren Watabe, Kiersey Clemons, Joe Tippett, Anders Holm, and Elisa Lasowski.
The show’s first two episodes were directed by Matt Shakman. Chris Black and Matt Fraction developed the series, with Shakman, Black, and Fraction all attached as executive producers. The series is also executive produced by Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita on behalf of Toho Co., Ltd.
