In addition to his iconic novels, many Stephen King fans become fans through the numerous adaptations based on his works. Now one such Stephen King adaptation is gaining traction on Netflix.
The streaming service has offered horror fans plenty of different films and shows to satisfy their cravings for the strange and unusual. Now this Stephen King adaptation, which stars actor Thomas Jane, is no exception. The film is none other than 1922, and based on the King book of the same name.
Thomas Jane stars in the film as farmer Wilfred James. He intends to use his wife in a murder scheme for money. If that wasn’t twisted enough already, he cuts his son in on the plan, and the two begin to lose their minds as the film’s plot continues. It’s a terrifying display of madness and one that shows King is as great at creating psychological horror as he is unique monsters and other such supernatural situations.

It’s nice to see that the film is still just as popular as ever on the streaming service. Obviously in the streaming age, when content is both released and removed quite frequently, it can be hard to maintain a top spot. But 1922 has proven itself to be a true fan-favorite in the digital age. And, of course, it’ll hopefully continue to receive such positive responses from fans.
The film 1922 was initially released on Netflix in 2017. Zak Hilditch both wrote and directed the film which was based on King’s 2010 novel.
In addition to Thomas Jane, the cast of the film includes Dylan Schmid, Molly Parker, Neal McDonough, Kaitlyn Bernard, Brian d’Arcy James, and Bob Frazer.
