Jenna Ortega and Johnny Depp have one major thing in common – they’ve both worked with director Tim Burton. In fact, Ortega has become a frequent choice for Burton as of late, having starred in both Wednesday and his upcoming movie Beetlejuice 2. And with rumors that Johnny Depp could also have a role in the Beetlejuice sequel, rumors have now also started that he and Jenna Ortega are dating.
Of course, this would mean that the two would be dating with a 40 year age gap. Jenna Ortega is only 20-years-old while Johnny Depp is 60-years-old. However, the two have now come out to debunk rumors that they have any kind of relationship.
Jenna Ortega addressed the rumors on her Instagram story. “This is so ridiculous I can’t even laugh,” Ortega began.
“I have never met or worked with Johnny Depp in my life. Please stop spreading lies and leave us alone.”
Depp’s representative released a similar statement to NME:
“Mr. Depp has no personal or professional relationship with Ms. Ortega whatsoever. He has never met her or spoken to her.”
The statement continues to declare that the Jack Sparrow actor has never been involved in any projects with Ortega and that he isn’t intending to:
“He is not involved in any project with her, nor does he intend to be. He is appalled by these baseless and malicious rumours that are intended to harm his reputation and career.”
