November 14 was National Pickle Day, and actor Matthew McConaughey chose the occasion to celebrate like no one else could. This is because Matthew McConaughey carefully picked a throwback image of himself nude and holding a jar of pickles. It’s certainly only something he could have pulled off for the national holiday.
As you can see below, the 53-year-old star merely captioned the photo with “Pickled.” Indeed, as he can clearly be seen standing in front of an open refrigerator door and his jar of pickles – among other things – perfectly on display.
It’s something that his 6.8 million followers also went wild for as a result.

As you might imagine, plenty of users wished that the Instagram photo remained uncropped or that Matthew McConaughey took the time to post other similar nude pictures of himself. Perhaps for next year’s National Pickle Day, because as you can further see below, McConaughey seems to really be a fan of the delicious snack. It’s certainly great to see this side of the actor on social media. Both his openness for such photography and his love of pickles are no doubt appreciated by fans. And, of course, it’s an interesting change of pace from a star associated with such hits as Dazed and Confused and The Wolf of Wall Street as well as the HBO series True Detective. Then again, given his early appearance in the cult film Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation, perhaps it isn’t hard to believe he has such a loveably crazy side to him.
