The new Disney Plus Star Wars series Ahsoka treated fans to quite a surprising fifth episode. In fact, the new episode of Ahsoka actually features an unexpected Marvel star from Avengers: Infinity War.
Rosario Dawson plays the live-action form of the titular character in the series. As fans who’ve been keeping up know, the fourth episode had a cliffhanger ending featuring Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker. He finally united with Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano, giving fans the first live-action instance of the characters on screen together.
The fifth episode, however, takes things a step further. Ahsoka is actually drawn into a flashback of sorts where she’s once again in the Clone Wars. This allows her character to wear her classic outfit, and likewise, Christensen’s Anakin can be seen wearing his outfit from the animated series. Interestingly, however, Ahsoka is also aged down to match her Clone Wars counterpart and this resulted in a younger actress being brought in: Ariana Greenblatt.
Greenblatt plays the young Ahsoka Tano quite brilliantly and easily sells the character’s first live-action Clone Wars encounters. However, fans might’ve also recognized Greenblatt for having played a young Gamora just a few years ago. Greenblatt played the young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War and quickly became a fan-favorite as her role was one of the most emotional pieces of the story.

As such, Disney and Lucasfilm certainly chose a great actress to play the part of Ahsoka Tano’s younger self in the Clone Wars. And fans would no doubt be happy to have even more content featuring Greenblatt as a live-action Ahsoka. In the meantime, we can still appreciate Rosario Dawson‘s performance as a much older Ahsoka, as she’s no doubt been one of the best parts about her series.
