First Look At Amber Heard In ‘Aquaman 2’ Revealed

Audiences have been eager to know whether or not Amber Heard would return for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. And while it’s since been confirmed that she’ll have a role in the movie, we’ve only now gotten our first look at Amber Heard as she’ll appear in Aquaman 2 from DC.

As you can see below, the first look at the upcoming superhero sequel reveals Amber Heard in her Mera costume. She’s also appearing rather angry in the shot, but given how little she appears in the footage, it’s unknown what the context for her anger is. But it should certainly be interesting to see what part her character plays, even if it’s a small role.

The footage of Amber Heard’s Mera only lasts for a moment during the film’s first trailer. In addition to looking angry, her character appears to be smashing through glass. Beyond that, however, fans will likely have to wait until the full release of the film to know exactly what’s going on. But this does confirm that Amber Heard, who was previously married to Johnny Depp and later dated Elon Musk, will be appearing in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom after all.

The new sequel is being directed by James Wan from a screenplay written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. He co-wrote the first Aquaman film alongside Will Beall and James Wan.

In addition to Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Amber Heard as Mera, the cast of the film includes Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.

Fans will be able to see Aquaman 2 when it hits theaters on December 20, 2023. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional DC updates and other news surrounding Amber Heard as we have it. As for now, it looks like fans can expect to see her in the upcoming movie from Warner Bros and DC.
