Netflix To Remove 11 Major Movies From Streaming Service

As is the case with streaming, many applications like Hulu and Max will curate their selections by regularly removing movies and shows. Now Netflix has announced which titles they will remove from their service by September 30 – and it includes as many as 11 major movies.

Of course, it’s likely that these films can pop up on other services. After all, it’s usually chalked up to how these studios license these films for streaming, and it can often be a lucrative opportunity to generate extra cash by licensing them out to different studios. So while they won’t be up on Netflix – hopefully they’ll be available elsewhere soon.

Here’s the list of movies that Netflix plans to remove by the end of September:

A League of Their Own (1992)

Clear and Present Danger (1994)

Doom (2005)

Kick-Ass (2010)

Lawless (2012)

Nanny McPhee (2005)

Snow White and the Huntsman (2012)

Star Trek (2009)

Star Trek Into Darkness (2012)

Titanic (1997)

Warm Bodies (2013)

The list includes plenty of fan-favorite movies going back from the early 1990s to the early 2010s. With sci-fi adventure films like Star Trek and its sequel, James Cameron‘s blockbuster disaster epic Titanic, and the underrated zombie romance Warm Bodies, there are plenty of different titles and genres to choose from.

Additionally, fans can always purchase these films on physical media including Blu-ray and 4K UHD as a means to watch them at any time. But as streaming is such a popular way to watch films and television, it’s good to keep up-to-date with what’s available where and for how long. Especially with so many different streaming services available.

Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional Netflix updates and more streaming news as we have it. For now, subscribers better start streaming these titles now before Netflix completely removes them from their service. Though as mentioned, we’ll likely see most if not all of these titles pop up elsewhere in the meantime.
