The third film in the Deadpool franchise is gearing up for production. The film will unite franchise star Ryan Reynolds with Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman for another R-rated adventure. Now a new synopsis has been released for Deadpool 3.
The new synopsis comes via Production List. However, it does happen to be brief – so much so that it’s almost fittingly humorous. And with the comic book character Deadpool involved – that’s definitely the right kind of vibe to have.
Here’s the new Deadpool 3 synopsis:
“Another chapter in the raunchy, violent, and of course, hilarious Deadpool series.”
Of course, one can hope that we’ll have a more elaborative synopsis in the near future. But seeing that the film is only now getting ready to begin shooting – it’ll likely be some time before more information comes to light. At least we know now that the long wait for Deadpool 3 is coming to a close. The development for this new entry took some time – especially with Fox being acquired by Disney – but it looks like everything is falling into place.
Especially by the sound of this synopsis which confirms that the new film won’t be going light on the “raunchy” and “violent” nature of the series. For fans that want their Deadpool content to be totally unfiltered – this should certainly satisfy those members of the audience.
Shawn Levy is set to direct Deadpool 3 from a screenplay written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux previously worked on the film’s screenplay.
The cast of Deadpool 3 so far includes Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, and Emma Corrin as the film’s villain. We’ll likely have additional cast updates soon.
